National Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day, observed on November 7th, serves as a platform to educate and raise awareness about canine lymphoma, a devastating disease that affects our beloved four-legged companions.

The inception of this day can be traced back to Terry Simons, a renowned dog agility trainer, and competitor. When Terry’s cherished canine companion, Reveille, was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2011, he encountered a lack of accurate information and treatment options. Determined to make a difference, Terry established the CLEAR (Canine Lymphoma Education Awareness and Research) foundation in honor of Reveille.

The mission of CLEAR is to provide valuable information, resources, and support to dog owners facing canine lymphoma. By empowering them with knowledge, CLEAR ensures that they can make informed decisions and become advocates for their furry family members.

On Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day, you can contribute to the cause in various ways. Educate yourself about the signs and impact of the disease, support research efforts through donations or fundraisers, and share your knowledge on social media using the hashtag #CanineLymphomaAwarenessDay.

National Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day, established in 2015, continues to make significant strides in spreading awareness and fostering research to combat this devastating disease. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our canine companions and provide hope for a brighter future.
