Ingredients:
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), and sugar.
