Ingredients:

  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), and sugar.
  4. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles and enjoy!

Optional additions:
