In a recent announcement, digital health start-up, H2O Therapeutics, has joined hands with global healthcare company, AmerisourceBergen, to assist in the commercialization of Parky, a prescription mobile app that monitors symptoms in Parkinson’s Disease patients.

The FDA-approved app is compatible with the Movement Disorder API developed by Apple Inc. and enables real-time monitoring of symptoms such as tremors and dyskinesia via the Apple Watch.

AmerisourceBergen will assist with patient engagement and health system integration services as part of its DTx Connect solution. Parkinson’s Disease affects over 10 million people globally, and the Parky app aims to help healthcare providers monitor patients in daily life, bridging the gap between real-life and in-clinic settings.
