Two Guys was a chain of discount department stores that found significant popularity in the United States during the mid-20th century. Founded in 1946 as 2 Guys From Harrison, the name was shortened to Two Guys as the chain expanded rapidly and operated over 100 stores across 11 states by the early 1970s. However, shifting consumer preferences and heightened competition from other retailers led to a decline in sales. The company struggled to adapt to the changing retail landscape and ultimately filed for bankruptcy in 1981. This financial turmoil marked the end of Two Guys, as the company eventually dissolved and ceased operations in the early 1980s.
