BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Full Moon Bar-B-Que’s Backpack Blessings program has delivered over 900 backpacks filled with school supplies, gift cards, and encouragement to children across Alabama and Mississippi — pushing total donations past $200,000 since the initiative began in 2020.
Each Nike backpack, valued at $200+, included notebooks, folders, writing supplies, a color-changing water bottle, and $50 in gift cards. “These backpacks go beyond supplies,” said co-owner David Maluff. “They help kids feel prepared, supported, and ready to take on the year.”
