Valley Metro, the transit system serving the Valley, has recently implemented changes aimed at improving bus service and schedules. These changes will have an impact on how people travel in the area. Some notable updates include increased frequency of bus service on routes 3, 7, 16, 19, 27, 35, and 70. Additionally, bus route 48 has been extended, allowing for expanded coverage. However, it is important to note that some routes have been eliminated, such as Avondale ZOOM and Peoria on the Go Destinations (POGO) Blue, Green, and Red. Riders in the southwest Valley are encouraged to utilize WeRide microtransit. To ensure a smooth journey, riders should check their route schedule online or in the Valley Metro app prior to the service changes on October 23. For a comprehensive list of all the service changes, visit valleymetro.org/oct23.
