In this article, we will guide you through the process of making lasagna and provide some tips on how to make it even more delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 jar of spaghetti sauce (24 oz)
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 box lasagna noodles (16 oz)
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up into small pieces. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add the spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese and 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Arrange a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles.
- Repeat the layers of meat sauce, noodles, and cheese mixture until all of the ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of meat sauce on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the lasagna.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Tips:
- Use slightly less sauce and a little more cheese to make the lasagna more flavorful and cheesy.
- Let the lasagna sit for a bit before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Use ground turkey or sausage instead of ground beef as an alternative ingredient.
- Add some chopped vegetables like spinach or zucchini to the cheese mixture for a healthier twist.
- Serve the lasagna with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
- Try an alternative sauce sometime, a white sauce like Alfredo. It is a delicious way to change it up.
