Pickleball, a once niche sport primarily played in retirement communities, has exploded in popularity across the United States. What was once considered a leisure activity has now become a social phenomenon, attracting players and spectators of all ages and backgrounds. With this surge in interest, the need for more playing spaces has become evident. However, high construction fees, long development times, and zoning restrictions have posed challenges in meeting this demand. That is, until now.

Beale Street Event

CelebExperts LLC, a top celebrity booking, marketing, and sponsorship agency, has partnered with Pickleball Pop-Ups™️ to tackle this issue head-on. Co-founded by Jakob Eliason and Adam Clay, Pickleball Pop-Ups is revolutionizing the way pickleball is experienced by utilizing temporary, mobile courts to create unparalleled pickleball events. Their mission is to make the sport as fun, accessible, and lively as possible for both players and viewers.

What sets Pickleball Pop-Ups apart from other companies is their ability to bring pickleball to any space, regardless of its size or location. The company collaborates with various brands and businesses to promote themselves while providing an outstanding pickleball experience. Eliason and Clay, both coming from B2B sales and marketing backgrounds, have chosen to focus on partnering with companies to produce multi-event concepts on the corporate event side.

What makes Pickleball Pop-Ups unique is its ability to fit into unconventional venues. Their adaptability allows them to transform corporate parks, ballrooms, trade show floors, and other unlikely spaces into pickleball events. The fun doesn’t stop there; after each event, attendees are already recommending new locations and suggesting where the next pop-up event should take place.

Pickleball Pop-Ups has already made waves across the nation. They have taken over Beale Street in Memphis, TN, and participated in Shoptalk 2024 in Las Vegas, NV, among other events. The brand’s recognition and success have surpassed expectations in a short period of time. They continue to evolve beyond just being a sport by creating spaces that can be enjoyed both on and off the court.

Pickleball Pop-Ups is actively seeking sponsorships from brands that want to be a part of this exciting venture. Packages for brands are customizable, allowing them to offer what they want and gain in return. With their full-service activation, brands can expect a high level of engagement with attendees.

Co-founder Adam Clay summarizes the impact of Pickleball Pop-Ups by stating, “People love it! A pickleball party showing up to any site or venue – with mobile, premium courts, music, food, drinks, beer, merch, MC/crowd engagement, etc. – turns out to be an enormous source of joy for so many people. We see it every day. And we plan to be providing these experiences for a very long time.”

The success of Pickleball Pop-Ups can be attributed to its accessibility, inclusivity, and emphasis on social interaction. Their ability to bring together people from different age groups and backgrounds is truly remarkable. As pickleball’s popularity continues to soar, the presence of Pickleball Pop-Ups will only grow, solidifying the game’s status as one of the nation’s favorite pastimes.

Hellas Paves the Way for Topseed Pickleball Installing Durable TPS Court Surfacing in Tulsa

Topseed Pickleball partners with Hellas to install durable TPS Court Surfacing in Tulsa, paving the way for a thriving pickleball community.

Published

on

Pickleball, a unique blend of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, has grown rapidly in popularity, attracting an estimated 36.5 million players in the past year alone. One facility that has embraced this expanding sport is TOPSEED Pickleball in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With a state-of-the-art facility and an unwavering commitment to quality, they have partnered with Hellas to install TPS Court Surfacing, creating an exceptional playing experience for pickleball enthusiasts.

Durable and Innovative Court Surfaces:

Hellas, the largest sports contractor in America, implemented 5″ thick post-tensioned concrete slabs covering approximately 25,000 square feet. This high-quality court surface ensures longevity and withstands the demands of pickleball gameplay. The TPS Court Surfacing consists of silica sand, providing a medium to slower ball speed, and features two main colors of green and blue with white trim, adhering to the United States Tennis Association line specifications. With the incorporation of TPS 5000® Fortified Acrylic Color Coating, the court lines are defined with precision.

Unparalleled Expertise:

Hellas’ commitment to excellence extends beyond court surfacing. Employing post tensioning techniques below the court surface, they guarantee the durability and longevity of the pickleball courts. TOPSEED Pickleball General Manager, James Moore, emphasizes that the quality of the courts is instrumental in attracting and retaining players. By choosing Hellas’ post tensioning concrete and TPS Court Surfacing, TOPSEED Pickleball ensures their customers have the best playing experience possible.

Versatility and Customization:

TPS Court Surfaces are not limited to pickleball. They are suitable for various sports, such as tennis, futsal, and multi-sport courts, allowing for versatility in facility usage. Each TPS Court Surface project is tailored to the specific needs of clients, including the incorporation of logos, windscreens, benches, and backboards. Hellas’ expertise in customization ensures that every facility is unique and meets the highest standards.

Illuminated for Optimal Gameplay:

Lighting is crucial for outdoor pickleball courts. TOPSEED Pickleball installed 12 LSI lighting sports fixtures, supported by eight 20-foot lighting poles, offering exceptional visibility during evening play. The innovative design of these fixtures allows for easy removal of posts and nets, enabling the facility to accommodate major and minor league pickleball events, including the seating required for spectators.

Smooth Construction and Timely Delivery:

TOPSEED Pickleball’s Managing Partner, Brett Benton, commended Hellas for their professionalism and smooth construction process. With a single point of contact throughout the project, Hellas delivered the project on time and under budget, showcasing their commitment to customer satisfaction.

“Post tensioning concrete & TPS Court Surfacing by Hellas was the formula to maintain our customer base.” TOPSEED GM James Moore

Hellas’ expertise and dedication to excellence have made them a leader in the sports surfacing industry. Their collaboration with TOPSEED Pickleball to install TPS Court Surfacing in Tulsa highlights the importance of quality courts in attracting players and fostering a thriving pickleball community.
