How to make Country Style Lemonade

If you’re looking for a refreshing drink on a hot day, nothing beats a glass of cold, homemade lemonade. But forget the store-bought stuff – this recipe for country-style lemonade is easy to make and tastes so much better. Here’s how to make the best country-style lemonade:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6-8 lemons)
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and fresh mint (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Start by making a simple syrup. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.
- While the simple syrup is cooling, squeeze the lemons to get 1 cup of juice. You can use a juicer or simply squeeze them by hand. Make sure to remove any seeds.
- In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, and 5 cups of cold water. Stir well.
- Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness to your liking. If it’s too tart, add more simple syrup. If it’s too sweet, add more lemon juice or water.
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until very cold.
- When you’re ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the lemonade over them.
- Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint, if desired.

Tips:
- For a variation, you can add a splash of sparkling water or club soda to the lemonade for some fizz.
