NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan is expanding ties with college sports through its “New Frontiers” program. The inaugural video series offers that building a personal brand, like a pro, can help collegiate athletes venture into Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) with intentionality and purpose.
“In this moment of NIL, college athletes can define “who” they are, which can matter as much as their athletic performance, when it comes to partnership opportunities,” said Allyson Witherspoon, vice president and U.S. chief marketing officer, Nissan U.S. “Nissan has been deeply centered in college sports for many years. This program is a natural extension of our support for colleges and collegiate athletics with something that we know quite a lot about: brand building.”
The three-part video series is the first content that will be developed for “New Fronters.” The content includes conversations around brand building for the long-term, making service and inspiration count both on and off the field, and putting the team first.
