Ingredients:

  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Peel and grate the potatoes using a grater or food processor. Squeeze out any excess liquid from the grated potatoes using a kitchen towel or cheesecloth.
  2. Finely chop the onion and mix it into the grated potatoes.
  3. Add the all-purpose flour, salt, and pepper to the potato mixture and mix well.
  4. Heat 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Take a small handful of the potato mixture and form it into a patty. Place the patty in the hot skillet and flatten it with a spatula.
  6. Cook the hash brown for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until it is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining potato mixture, adding more oil to the skillet as needed.
  8. Once all the hash browns are cooked, remove them from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  9. Serve the hash browns hot with your favorite breakfast dishes, such as eggs, bacon, or toast.

Enjoy your delicious homemade hash browns!
